Name: Ambrose Constantine
Genos: Gargoyle
Auspice: Cancer
Theme Song: Back to the Rivers of Belief - Engima

The enigmatic owner of Euterpe's Coffee House, Ambrose is a bit of an oddity even among New Londoners. As pale as glass, and, as far as anyone can tall, completely mute, Ambrose does his best to foster the small spark of genuine inspiration that flickers in the smoky darkness of the Louisiana marshes.

Ambrose spends almost every minute of the day and evening in his café, serving coffee and listening to the poetry recitals and experimental musicians that perform there. Most of the citizens of New London have no idea where he comes from or where he made the money he uses to sponsor the few artists that completely capture his heart, and, being mute, he doesn't yield particularly easily to questioning. However, certain circles of Eldritch in the city know exactly what he is; a Gargoyle who's simulacrum has been carved from flawless ivory, painted, and coated in candle-wax so that he can pass for something almost human.

It's thought that he originated somewhere in the Middle East, and made his name around the time of the Hundred Years War, where he forged a close relationship with Benoît Lescarde, a Quester whom even today is his closest friend and ally. It is rumoured that he may even have been around in the time of Byzantium, but no one seems to know for sure. All that is known is that he conforms to strict Catholic ritualism in his sin-eating, and that he spends his years fostering artistic talent to bring a little pleasure into his otherwise numb existence filled only by the Void . . .

Ambrose is slight and of diminutive height, standing no more than 5ft 6". His skin is alabaster white, flushed with delicate tea-rose pink across his cheeks and lips. His eyes are the colour of polished topaz, and his hair is a shower of bleached moonlight that falls like a stream of spun-silver to his shoulders.
