Spell
Magnitude
There is a House Rule in force in New London which
means that you cannot cast a Spell of a higher Magnitude
than your character has dots in Art.
Therefore, if you have an Art of 3 in Dark Science,
you may cast 1st, 2nd and 3rd Magnitude Spells, but
may not cast 4th and 5th Magnitude Spells.
Spells
and Magickal Lore
If your character has Magick, or if they are buying
dots in Art and Lore, please note that you get One
Automatic Spell for each dot in Lore that you have.
This can be any spell of your choosing, so long as
it complies with the Spell Magnitude rule.

Experience Costs listed in the first three books and
not those listed in Book of the Fantastical,

Persona
Qualities Linked to Distinctions
Please note that the rules for Compulsions from
The Codex of Immortals are used here over the rules
for Dementia.
What this means is that if you have some kind of
negative disorder, such as megalomania, kleptomania,
sadomasochism, paranoia etc, this should be taken
as a Psyche Distinction at –2, giving a Persona
Quality of +4 in the compulsion (such as kleptomania
etc), or as a Psyche Distinction at -3 giving a
Persona Quality of +7.
