Kamidana
Kamidana is almost unique among Fantast
organisations in that it is open to almost anyone
that wishes to join it. Which Christmas Carrigan is
the unofficial leader of the group, in reality, this
means little more than the fact that most of the gatherings
are held at his home, and he’s helped enough
of Kamidana’s members often enough that when
he offers advice, people listen.
Less of a society, and more of a group of people
that may or may not choose to meet together, Kamidana
has, in its time, helped many of those new to the
Secret World as well as mortals desperate to learn
about the ‘true nature’ of the world around
them, although suck mortals are always cautiously
admitted to ensure that the Secret World is really
what they want and need in their lives.
Holding erratic, but more or less frequent gatherings
at Chris’s large, Fountain District home, Bayouview
House, Kamidana’s rules and regulations are
few and far between, boiling down to only one core
principle, a desire for peace and understanding of
the Secret World. Steeped, for the most part, in Japanese
and Shinto culture, they further their knowledge and
learning in the arts of Magick and enlightenment while
all the time being careful not to involve themselves
in conflict. The only other rule within the group
is that none of what goes on or is talked about must
be discussed around Chris’s partner, Carter
Francis, who is unaware of the Secret World, and of
Christmas’s involvement in it.
Past that, the group seems to manage very well with
virtually no rules to govern it, although, if it’s
needed, Christmas is more than capable of exerting
some leadership over those around him. |
