Located
in the heart of Ascension Parish, Louisiana (just
on the other side of the river to where Donaldsonville
would be if we were in the real world), New London
has been through much since it was founded on the
ideals of hope and equality in the 1700's.
Today, the city is a former industrial
town making its living on a mixture of tourism, gambling
and history. It's dotted with special places that
make the city unique, from the massive Greek-revival
mansion on the Fountaine Estate to the glittering
paddle-steamer turned gambling den, the Iron Mountain,
to the vast number of subterranean streets and tunnels
where even less savoury creatures scramble in the
darkness...
